Babbo was the party on everyone’s minds as nearly 100 guests (including regular customers, industry professionals, VIPs, press and bloggers) arrived at the stylish newly rebranded restaurant Babbo to celebrate their 1st birthday.
The evening kicked off with glass of Prosecco with a strawberry garnish or a large gin and tonic sponsored by Sipsmith Gin as well as gin station with brand ambassador Charlene Holt at the helm, serving up sloe hot gin with gingerbread. Guests were treated to live music by award winning sax player and singer Carlo Sax who has recently been selected to audition for Britain’s Got Talent – a firm favourite at Babbo.
Mo Bar cocktail flair bar show’s Martin also took to the stage and wowed guests with his amazing flaring skills. The atmosphere was incredible. Brad (a waiter at Babbo) continuing the entertainment with his rendition of “Try A Little Tenderness”, receiving a more than deserved standing ovation.
The guest list included: Goldie Cheung (X Factor), Sofia Spencer (BBC Doctors, Heartbeat, Two Pints of Lager and A Packet Of Crisps, Coronation Street), Reiss Harrison (X Factor), Alan Townley, Irene Estry, Jennie Platt, Brian and Maxine Warner (Lemon Tree), Nash Patel, David Brockway (WPP) and Caroline Dowse (Northern Revive).
Guests were given goody bags, courtesy of Northern Revive Magazine – featuring Leanne Brown on the cover. The grand finale was the cutting of the bespoke birthday cake complete with sparkler and confetti shooter. Carlo Sax continued to play as guests danced into the night. The event was organised by The Edge Events who managed the guest list all the way through to the final details.

Babbo are open Monday to Thursday from 4pm Friday and Saturday lunchtime from 12.00. Pop in for a lighter lunch menu as well as other choices. A Sunday lunch option is also available at £14.95 for 3 courses.
